FAQ

SHiNE is a rebrand and expansion of the Co-op Web Builder program. SHiNE is the umbrella of website services that Touchstone Energy has to offer. There are currently almost 500 live sites using the CWB platform. CWB member sites will continue to be supported as normal, with the same level of passion and assistance under our new name SHiNE. 

Rest assured; sites built on using the long-trusted CWB platform, templates, themes and user interface are not going anywhere. SHiNE is our new program name and includes many enhancements. Existing websites will continue to receive the support and security you have always known. New websites will have additional options using the stunning, new SHiNE CMS. Our team will continue to provide exceptional support for existing CWB sites, help interested co-ops transition to new options available under SHiNE when you are ready for a refresh and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

SHiNE is what the program is called moving forward. It includes a few new offerings like Design & Build and Content Support. Design & Build is the next step up from SHiNE CMS (easy DIY offering), which exists for members who want custom design or development. Content Support is a brand-new offering that offers a resource to help you post (and write) content, analyze analytics, and more -- so you can be hands-free from your website. SHiNE also includes a searchable Help Center, where our team will tag videos with CWB or SHiNE to help you find topics easily.

The new SHiNE CMS will be released by May 2024. It will include new templates (teasers online now) and a revolutionary new layout creator (yet to be revealed). Neither are available now but will be released very soon. These templates can be used for any new projects and will improve the design experience. And this is just the start! A variety of added improvements are in the works for SHiNE to continue improving the user experience even further.

Members can get immediate help by using any of the contact methods on the SHiNE website. Sites built with Co-op Web Builder or the SHiNE platform will continue to be supported equally. All members will receive support, and training which is included with membership. Additionally, the new Help Center boasts a collection of short videos covering an assortment of topics. This is a new feature that will continue to grow! 

The SHiNE CMS is a new modern platform designed for co-op communications and marketing professionals to DIY with ease. It includes brand new unique templates, a revolutionary page layout creator, and many improved configurable features.

Sites built with Co-op Web Builder will continue to use the user interface and CMS you have always used. The new SHiNE CMS is available for new projects. Here's why: 

  • SHiNE CMS works seamlessly with our Design & Build and Content Support services, offering a comprehensive three-pronged approach for building and supporting your website. 

  • SHiNE CMS uses a separate set of tools and configurations to deliver its innovative capabilities. There is a compatibility difference -- like using a MAC or PC.
